Victor Eriksson, Group leader in Sickla

Victor Eriksson is customer responsible group leader for the Sickla retail area in Nacka. He is in charge of fifteen guards and security guards who patrol the trading environment during the day and take care of property surveillance in the area at night. To have a close relationship with the customer, Victor is on site in Sickla Köpkvarter. There he meets and leads his team daily. They take care of the shopping district's service and offer a safe environment for visitors. “No day is the same. It's almost always something that happens. ” It can range from dealing with various exhibitors in the shopping center to dealing with a theft in a bicycle storage.

It feels good to stop burglars

"It feels good when burglars have been prevented from doing damage to customers. We had a case where two gentlemen broke in. The alarm went off in a stairwell at the customer's and a security guard went to check. While he had the police in one ear, he pursued the burglars a few blocks away. The police were able to meet up and arrest both. That way we could make a difference. ”

In addition to the retail area, Victor's team takes care of all office premises and Atlas Copco's industrial premises all the way down to Hammarby Sjöstad. There they check that no unauthorized person is on site, that everything looks good, and go on emergency calls. The assignment also includes a mine located just below Nacka, where Atlas Copco is testing its industrial machines. “We handle fire alarms and take part in guided tours to maintain the safety of visitors. For example, if evacuation needs to be done. ”

Victor is 23 years old and started at Tempest Security in June 2016. He studied IT in high school and had two friends in the class who worked at the company. They advised him to apply for a summer job. He received a guard training and began working full time until the autumn. Initially, he worked for a year as a tour guide in northern Stockholm. After that, he became an area guard for Stockholm University, then deputy group leader, took training as a security guard and security guard, was offered to start as a planner at Tempest Security's head office and worked with employee development, scheduling, recruitment and more. Since October 2019, he is group leader in Sickla. “When I started, Tempest was a pretty small company. But it has gone very fast, and the development opportunities within the company have been very great. ”

Coordinates the work of the guards

Victor describes himself as the spider in the web and handles all contact with customers and coordinates the guards' work. “It's fun to see how a colleague can develop in such a short time. That I get to be a part of that process is great fun. ”

An important part of the work is also to constantly help the customer develop the area. “The customer wants a security partner who provides advice and support and is proactive. As the metro is expanded to Sickla, the need for traditional and technical monitoring will increase. ” He also predicts that more and more customers will start using surveillance with the help of smart cameras. They can then automatically alert if they see something that can be interpreted as deviant or dangerous, as well as check the registration number of visiting cars and more.
